Note: Tooling (F) should be used in order to ensure that all mating surfaces of the components are clean prior to assembly. Do not use a cleaner that contains acetone or trichloroethylene as these chemicals will damage the seal.

Personal injury can result from servicing the track roller frame without referring to the Disassembly and Assembly manual.

Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly manual which contains the disassembly procedure that must be used to safely service the track roller frame.

    The roller frame is shown in the inverted position.

  1. Apply a liberal amount of Tooling (G) to the outside surface of sleeve (5) that will be pressed into track roller frame (4). Apply a liberal amount of Tooling (G) to the mating surface in the bore of track roller frame (4).

  1. Use Tooling (A), (C), and (E) to install sleeve (5) into the track roller frame.

  1. Apply Tooling (G) to the outer diameter of seal (3), and the mating surface of retainer (1). Use a suitable press and Tooling (A) in order to install seal (3) in retainer (1) .

  1. For assembly in the field, use Tooling (A), and Tooling (D) in order to install seal (3) into retainer (1) .

    The roller frame is shown in the inverted position.

  1. Install Tooling (H) into the track roller frame.
  1. Apply a liberal amount of Tooling (G) to the outside diameter of sleeve (5) and to the inside diameter of the seal (3) .

    The roller frame is shown in the inverted position.

  1. Slide retainer (1) onto Tooling (H) and align seal (3) over the sleeve. Install Tooling (B) inside retainer (1) against seal (3) .

    Note: It is critical to use Tooling (H) in order to align retainer (1). Misalignment of retainer will damage seal (3) during installation of roller frame to the machine. The orientation of the lubrication groove on the retainer is not critical.

  1. Use Tooling (A), (B), (C), and (E) to press seal (3) and retainer (1) onto sleeve (5) .
  1. Remove Tooling (A), (B), (C), (E),and (H) .
