D9T Track-Type Tractor Hydraulic System – Final Drive and Brake – Remove

Start By:

  1. Separate the track. See Disassembly and Assembly, “Track – Separate”.
  2. Remove the outer axle. See Disassembly and Assembly, “Axle – Remove”.

    Note: Make sure that the short support of tooling (A) is on the bottom and that the long support is on top when Distances (M) and (N) are made.

  1. Make an adjustment to bolts (1) on Tooling (A) so that Distance (M) is 100.0 mm (3.95 inch) and Distance (N) is 180.0 mm (7.08 inch).

  1. Remove three bolts from the sprocket segments. Fasten an appropriate lifting device and install Tooling (A) on the final drive. Make adjustments to bolts (3) until the bolts are against the final drive hub.
  1. Remove bolts (2) that hold the final drive and the brake to the frame.

    Note: Do not remove three bolts (4) that hold the steering clutch and the brake to the final drive.

  1. Remove three bolts (5) that hold the steering clutch and the brake to the frame.

  1. Remove final drive, brake (6) , and the O-ring seal from the machine. The weight is approximately 1270 kg (2800 lb).
