Air Conditioning and Heating R134a for All Caterpillar Machines – Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) – Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

1. Attach a suitable lifting device to ROPS (1) .

2. Remove handhold (2) .

3. Position plate assembly (3) out of the way.

4. Disconnect harness assembly (4) .

5. Remove bolts (5). Repeat for other side. Remove ROPS (1) from the machine. The weight of ROPS (1) is approximately 535 kg (1180 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. Use a suitable lifting device to position ROPS (1) on the machine. The weight of ROPS (1) is approximately 590 kg (1300 lb).

2. Install ROPS (1). Install bolts (5). Repeat for the other side.

3. Install plate assembly (3). Connect harness assembly (4).

4. Install handhold (2) .
