Remove Steering Cluth Hydraulic Control Valve (Direct Drive And Special Application)

Start By:

a. remove steering clutch relief valve (direct drive and special application)


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants put into the system may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


NOTE: The cab is tilted back for better photo illustration of the steering clutch hydraulic control valve.

1. Remove O-ring seals (3) from the top of the steering clutch hydraulic control valve. Check the condition of the seals. If the seals are damaged, use new parts for replacement.

2. Disconnect steering rod assemblies (1) and (5) from the levers on the steering clutch hydraulic control valve.

3. Remove the bolts that hold elbows (4) and (2) to the bevel gear case.

4. Remove two bolts (6).

5. Remove steering clutch control valve (8). Remove three O-ring seals (9). Check the condition of the seals. If the seals have damage, use new parts for replacement.

6. Remove two levers (7). Remove the two elbows from the valve. Check the condition of the O-ring seals in the elbows. If the seals are damaged, use new parts for replacement.

NOTE: Install in reverse order.
