Free length after test … 43.0 mm (1.69 in)

Outside diameter … 9.53 mm (.375 in)

NOTE: A safe wear allowance per friction face is 1/2 the oil groove depth. Minimum groove depth is 0.64 mm (.025 in), but allow a minimum groove depth of 0.81 mm (.032 in). This minimum should apply to 95% of the parts. The wear allowance is 0.41 mm (.016 in) per friction face. Total pack wear is 2.44 mm (.096 in) for this three disc assembly clutch. Separator plate reusability is determined by the surface condition. No grooving is allowed. New separator plates should be used with new friction plates to provide the proper surface texture for break-in of the friction material. Smooth, but non-grooved separator plates may be used with used friction discs. Assemble the plates in the same location from which they were removed.
