- The five components of the expansion valve system are the compressor, the condenser coil, the receiver-dryer, the expansion valve and the evaporator coil.
- The six components of the manual orifice tube system are the compressor, the condenser coil, the accumulator, the dryer, the orifice tube and the evaporator coil.
Note: Some orifice tube systems use an accumulator with a desiccant instead of a separate dryer.
