3306 VEHICULAR ENGINE FOR D5B, D6D & D7G TRACTORS – Engine Oil Cooler

Remove Engine Oil Cooler

START BY:

a) remove oil filter and base

1. Drain the coolant from engine cooling system.

2. Loosen hose clamps (1).

3. Remove bolt (4) from the gauge tube for oil level.

4. Remove bolt (2) and spacer from the bracket for transmission oil filter.

5. Remove bolts (3) that hold oil cooler to engine.

6. Remove engine oil cooler, bonnet and hose.

7. Remove bonnet and hose from oil cooler.

Install Engine Oil Cooler

1. Clean the core assembly in oil cooler (1) with a .125 in. (3.2 mm) diameter rod.

2. Install bonnet and hose on oil cooler.

3. Put hose, bonnet and oil cooler (1) in position and install bolts.

4. Install spacer and bolt for the transmission oil filter.

5. Install bolt for the gauge tube for oil level.

6. Tighten hose clamps.

7. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. See Maintenance Guide.
